Heather & Dave: Teen Challenge Castle, Riverside, CA

Getting to know Heather and Dave during their engagement session was really easy. They were so inviting and warm. We also discovered Dave could make Heather laugh at a drop of a hat. It made for a very fun afternoon.
They had their wedding at the Teen Challenge Castle in Riverside, CA. If you've never heard of Teen Challenge, feel free to look them up at: http://www.teenchallenge.com/. It's an organization that aids in transforming the lives of addicts. It's really an incredible program. The Teen Challenge Castle is a beautiful location for a wedding. Heather and Dave really showed their hearts by choosing a venue that gives back. The money you spend on the venue goes back to Teen Challenge to continue to help change lives. Here are some shots of the two getting ready as well and when they saw each other for the first time. They wanted to see each other before the wedding and do most of the pictures before so we set up a time for them to meet.

After they met we got the wedding party together and did some group shots. As with many of our couples, you can really see their personalities and character by whom they surrounds themselves. Heather & Dave's wedding party were grounded, supportive and a whole lot of fun.

After we finished up with the wedding party, we spent some quality time with Heather & Dave for their portraits individually and together. This is one of our favorite times. We love being able to capture the moments and the emotions so after the day passes, Heather & Dave will have a constant reminder of the love and joy they felt for one another on their wedding day.

After a fun and quick portrait session, we prepared for the ceremony while Heather and Dave took a moment of their own to get ready to walk down the aisle. Their ceremony was grounded, humble and filled with a great love for the years to come.

Their non-traditional reception was wonderful. During their first dance, Dave spiced it up with some fun moments. After dinner, Heather and Dave showed a video they made of how they met and their differences and similarities. It was really cute since they met through e-harmony and are perfect for each other, but share so few traits. Opposites do attract and sometimes they attract to create a beautiful union. They also put a lot of love into their details. The beautiful bright fall colors of fuscia pink and oranges were uplifting. Each table housed unique antique salt and pepper shakers that Heather & Dave hand picked from many different locations. We hope you enjoy a snapshot of their personalities at their reception.

After the night was done, these two left in a beautiful vintage car to start their honeymoon at the Mission Inn before heading off for their flight the next day. It was such a pleasure enjoying both of their company and having the opportunity to capture their wedding day. It's never a dull moment spending time with Heather & Dave. We look forward to seeing you both soon!
