Ashley & Jason: El Cortez, San Diego, CA
We were so excited when Jason and Ashley got engaged. We became friends with Ashley a couple years earlier and loved her from the minute we said hi. As we grew with Ashley we were introduced to Jason and immediately, we loved him too. There is so much talent wrapped up in this couple. From graphic design to amazing voices and musical talent, there is little this team can't do. In addition to it all, they have incredibly loving hearts that make you feel so special. Needless to say, we were privileged when Ashley and Jason entrusted us to capture the memories of their journey into marriage together. There's a lot of pictures of these two. . .we hope you enjoy.
From beginning to end, Ashley and Jason had a vision for the feel of their wedding day celebration. They designed everything to correlate to the theme of a vintage, retro and classic wedding day. With the theme of peacock feathers, they created a visually beautiful and romantic atmosphere. Every moment of the day was a privilege to experience. Ashley and Jason are the kind of couple that melts your heart and serves others in a way that is so rare to see. Even on their wedding day they were taking care of everyone else. They are such a joy to be around. An added bonus is they are incredibly photogenic and trusted us to do our thing.
You could see how much love Ashley and Jason share with people after spending a couple minutes around them with their wedding parties. It was so much fun to walk around downtown San Diego with them all.
The ceremony was breathtaking and heartfelt. Ashley's uncle performed the ceremony with a sincerity and investment that was unmistakable. Ashley and Jason's love for Jesus and each other was beautifully represented through him. As usual, with Ashley and Jason, we had a blast with the pictures afterward. Once we finished up with the wedding party, we took a quick drive down to "The Star of India"for their portraits together. We couldn't have been blessed with a more perfect night or timing. Ashley and Jason's wedding day really felt like it was meant to be.
The reception at the El Cortez was gorgeous. The ceremony and cocktail hour were conveniently set up outside the reception hall making it easy and relaxing for guests. The atmosphere was very romantic and classy. It meshed beautifully with Ashley and Jason's vision. Their love for each other was so apparent throughout the whole night. It was so much fun to watch them thoroughly enjoy their reception.
As the night came to a close, Ashley and Jason shared their last dance together. You can see their love for one another. Many of you have probably seen the "25 Random Facts" floating around Facebook. Ashley wrote as one of her facts that she "secretly has a major crush on her husband." That sums these two up. They are a beautiful representation of marriage.
We love you both so much! Hopefully your little Rhyan Jay will come out soon! (Yes, that means they're expecting a little girl any day now!) We can't wait to share in the memories and beautiful blessings ahead of you both. We know that God has a big future for you two (soon to be three).
